Description
This is my studio rendering of a 2004 Honda CBR600RR. I'm not a motorcycle guy, but I wanted a good challenge. The level of modeling detail was unexpected. Almost everything is visible on a motorcycle and the ferrings really don't cover much up. Essentially you have to model everything underneath the plastic first because little bits will be sticking out here and there. Modeled in Maya and rendered in about a week (I dare anyone to try to do it faster). The render took less than 10 minutes on an old laptop.I am currently looking for 3d work. It has a very high polycount since I made it just with the intentions to use for an HD render and for the same reason most of it isn't uv mapped, although it wouldn't take long to do on hard surfaces like that.

if you are entry level trying to get into the industry, gaming is the easiest path and for that you may want to do some low poly stuff: model/texture/uvs... doesn't look as cool, but gets u a job.

Oh wow, very nice. It looks like my friend's motorcycle. I'm not really much of a fan of this style of bike so I couldn't tell you if anything was off anyway lol. I can, however, tell you it looks awesome to me.

awesome work, except for really tiny details i can tell its not a picture, allmost a complete eye cheating piece.

Wait... Let me get this one straight; it took your computer a week to render it, or did you model it in a week? Got seriously confused here, since either answer would be amazing: you're either incredibly fast at modeling with this much detail, or you're modeling with so much details and graphical requirements in your mind it takes a week for the machine to finish rendering it.
