Description In this design I wanted to portray How most of the women and men we see in advertising are photoshoped, and I used the windows as transition boxes to show the fake beauty etc. The boxes add some cool interest and movement and it works well with typographical effect (clean fake/mess natural) The tiara on top also signifies the narcissistic illusion of being better than everybody else. The colors are fairly neutral and earthy....with the portrait boxes being heavily modified via airbrushing/saturation tweaks and the odd filter to make her look plastic-like. The newspaper was a picture I took at home from dictionary. Stock images used:

I like the whole idea of this picture. I have 4 very impressionable girls who think that despite being taught otherwise, beauty on the outside means more.
Thankfully they are all beautiful girls on the inside and out, and are young enough to learn that what you see isn't necessarily what you get.

yea exactly before i did this i stumbled upon photoshop tutorial on makeovers lol....and it literally redid her face in every possible way like eyes where made bigger colors changed, airbrushing i wanted to capture that idea of this fake beauty being fabricated within a program....since we see this in mags and ads everywhere where almost trained or taught that this is beauty lol....even though all it is, is a photo manipulation lol

It is surprising what digital art can do these days....and it would be nice to have a photo maxed out for fun.
It's a shame that there aren't more programmes on to show the youngsters that there has been a bit of help....above and beyond a bit of make-up

for sure some people take it like its real and alter their health etc in bad ways...but on a light note utube has tons of tuts on airbrushing/and all that magazine style stuff lol all you need is photoshop

Yea....I thought that being thin was all that mattered when I was a teen....thankfully I came to my sences!
I'm glad utube seems to have more educational stuff on it now...even the teachers reccomend the kids look on it for homework help.
