I already liked the way the writers treated Fluttershy after season 4, and this episode just further cemented how well she's been written in the past few years. I enjoyed this episode so much that I'm willing to give a pass to all of its flaws.

P.S. If Stewie wasn't complaining about eating horse seed instead of milk then I think ponies won't complain when taking the honey + horse juice antidote. Unless it's the monster you talk about in your fine literature-quality poem; it just rapes you and infects you with Youngblood disease. X'D

It was a nice episode, but the fact that the doctor literally didn't give a shit about Zecora's deadly flue was just really. He's supposed to be a doctor, a doctor's job is to take care of the patients and try their best to figure out a cure for the disease, but he was just like: Your friends is just most likely gonna die, but I don't even bother try to cure her. Seriously who hired that doctor?
Anyway It was kinda weird to see Twilight took the fact so easily that Zecora is infected with a deadly infection, but I'm pretty sure if it was one of the mane 6 then she would just freak out as much as Fluttershy did. And the fact that Fluttershy just researched something that almost no one knew, not even Twilight in like a few hours is quiet impressive, dose this mean that Fluttershy is better at researching than Twilight?
I would give this episode a C+

I honestly thought it was around a 'C'. The exchanges were good, but I did feel as though they could have done more with the lesson. It's not just important to watch your own well-being when trying to help someone else, it's important not to lose who you are in a desperate situation.

It's a good point, she's not one to mince words. I am disappointed in Fluttershy for once again shagging her older boyfriend in the middle of a crisis.

The main point of the lesson was to take a moment to take care of yourself before you focus on taking care of others. Think of it as the 'Lover's Embrace' perk from Fallout 4. It's given me a needed boost in that game. Maybe it did for Flutters.

An interesting episode, quite nice to hear a Southern/Missisippi-like dialect again after a while.
However, if my friend would turn into a tree, I wonder if I truly would like to *rest* for a while, giving the disease more time to spread through the organism. However, I wonder what other kind of final stage would have been effective/logical to use.

I liked it. It was a good episode. Everything after frame and misfortune was good. But nothing to surpass that episode or Perfect Pear in my opinion. Maybe Daring Done, but I'm an RD fan and I love the adventure stories.
