Description
In 1923, a blue tender engine without a name only known by his number 98462 was sent to the North western railway on Sodor for a trial. He was a horrid engine and was very mean to poor Edward, Gordon and Henry, so much to the point were the Fat director had to sent him away.
Fan media:
Although 98462 is an official character from the Railway series books within the Thomas and friends franchise, 98462 is also referred to Alfred the loaned B12 who is an OC created by a Youtube Skarloey123 for a fanmade online mini series called Sodor the dark times. The reason behind this is because some people believe that 98462 and Alfred are some same character because they appear to have the same engine class as one another.
Basis:
98462 was based on the London north eastern railway 4-6-0 class B12's, which were built
between from 1911 to1928.
