OMG that is so hard!! either '03 or '12, I am leaning more towards '12. . . there are parts I like to all of them. I don't like how underestimated Mikey is in '12 (if you don't know that drove me crazy so much I have a fic where Mikey get's justice), but he is so darn cute! (I also have a love of '87 Krang lol)

I haven't seen much of the 2012 series, but I've seen the '87, '03, and bits of the live action series from '97, and I've seen all of the movies. The '03 was too angsty for me, just like with the movie TMNT (2007), it all focused on Raphael and Leonardo instead of being about all of the turtles. I do like what I've seen from the 2012 series, and I absolutely love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), Michelangelo is adorable in it and the special effects are top notch. Turtles Forever was a decent TV movie. I don't like how they're kind of dumbed down in the 2012, and I hate their redesigns, especially Splinter's, and the voice cast was weird, particularly since '87 Raphael is now Donatello. .-. I like things about all of them, but I dislike things about all of them as well. I don't have a favorite, really. I do wish Michelangelo and Donatello would get more screentime and that they didn't have to write episodes around Leonardo being the favorite and how he and Raphael hate each other.

I so do wish Mikey and Donnie got more screen time! That is why my fic is the way it to give them more time via me lol.
You are not missing much from the live action series.
I love angst to '03 was good for me lol. I loved all the movies they were so good.

The live action series is one of those things nobody talks about. And you can't talk about Venus, the girl turtle, to TMNT co-creator Peter Laird. He hates her. Who can blame him though, she was part of what made The Next Mutation so terrible.
The Angsty '03 shows were decent, except the future one, that was weird and out of place. I loved that Christmas special where Michelangelo gets his kitty. Splinter's my favorite character no matter what the series. He's just so awesome!
