Cute as it is, I get the feeling that it will be friggin' terrifying when I'm not paying attention and it suddenly says something in its scary corvid-voice. Which for some reason makes it even cuter (and doesn't change the fact that this is an amazingly well-done photo).
Is that the natural lighting, or did you add the peripheral haze in an edit?

The "peripheral haze" atually is a bar which blurred out like that since i focused on the bird.

Here I was, thinking I was the only one who did that.Β Whenever I see a critter, I'm all, "Hallo bird!", or "Hello there snake!", or whatever it is.Β
Not sure when/where I started doing this...Β I guess it's just common courtesy, & making sure the animal knows you're there so it doesn't get spooked.
