Jungle planet Zeklyne would be a paradise if it wasn't for the native Ausgria species of traditional hunters. Possessing immense strength, jumping height and movement speed, Ausgria tend to hunt solo when they're not crafting crude weapons among primitive tribes. Importance in the tribe is determined by each one's collection of skulls. By tradition, all Ausgria must yield when brought to their knees. Male or female, they tend to swear allegiance for life to any rival when defeated in battle, as this is their mating ritual.

When Zeklyne was discovered and minimally colonized by the Sitmac species, entire enclaves were ambushed and killed, one Sitmac at a time. As rebirth funerals are held for every deceased shell, a new-born Sitmac claws it's way out of their old body's chest cavity with the same memories from their previous existence. Because reaching teenage maturity requires 70 Earth Prime years, to the Sitmacs, death is an extreme inconvenience. They have since abandoned planet Zeklyne and declared it a No Fly Zone, leaving the Ausgria to continue primitive lives.

During the massacre, few Ausgria were defeated and now serve the Galactic Federation. Their numbers aboard advanced space stations have since multiplied.
