Backstory:
Born on the West Coast, of the island of Fleur, Laughalot grew up as Felix with his sextuplet siblings and parents; Victoria Rios, a town representative, and Salvador Rios, the captain of the local Royal Guard (ranked lower than the overall captain but in control of the knights that lived in town). About the age of 5, an attack was staged on Fleur by the Feroish (also known by locals as "The Barbarians") where they took control of the Dragonborn and Fleurian Elf villages. Being entranced by combat and weaponry - and believing the skirmish would be won by his father - Felix ignored the calls from his mother to hide in the house. Instead sitting by the riverbank, watching the battle take place. Eventually as the battle started to bleed into the dragonborn town, the combatants made a push across the river, knocking Felix into the water. Due to the chaos and commotion, he got knocked into one of the rocks at the bottom - knocking him unconscious and sending him - thankfully face up - down the river towards the capital city.

Felix would end up on the sandy shore right under the bridges by the castle, and by happenstance, Oswald Lot (the Royal Wizard and Second in Command of Fleur) was walking with his husband over this very bridge. Oswald heard Felix's cries and rushed to to the riverbank; but they were unable to figure out where the child had come from or even what his name was due to the bump on his head rendering any memory he had useless. His name was changed to Rory and Oswald and Oscar adopted him into their growing family - which at the time was them and their adoptive child Ink.

Eventually, Rory would regain his fascination with weaponry and combat, as Oscar was a member of the Queen's Royal guard. His fathers signed him up to be a squire, but were shot down a number of times due to his autism. Eventually, Oswald threatened to leave his position as the royal wizard and rally the commonfolk against the queen for her injustice. And the queen caved, letting Rory squire. Being the protective father he is - and seeing the convenience - Oscar took over his training into the guard.

During the ceremony to determine the new royal captain, Rory met a draw 51 times with the kingdom-wide praised Hasan (Knight Feline). And despite their equal technical prowess, due to the biases against Rory, Knight Feline was chosen as Captain and Rory was knighted Sir Laughalot and given the lowest denominator of duties. Due to this, Laughalot started his party planning business, just to say he was doing something other than being the occasional post boy for the queen. The story starts around here.
