Interesting TF so far. What's also nifty is that the Wings aren't some extra digits on the wrists & BS, but in fact the fingers are stretched out to form the Wing structure. Although, when you look at it, the Index Finger is actually not part of the Wing, but something extra around. Typically, the index finger would be free on the Human Bat, much like the Man-Bat dude on the "Batman" cartoon series.

I absolutely despise those lazy wing styles, they aren't accurate in any way, and completely detract from the awesomeness that is the bat wing. And I believe you are incorrect, the bat wing has the loose thumb with the other four digits forming the wing and attached to membranes. As you can see in this image www.abc.net.au/radionational/i… the 2nd digit (homologous to the index finger) forms most of the leading edge of the wing. It is indeed attached to membrane toward the 3rd digit and a tiny bit towards the thumb. Of course, we are creating something that doesn't actually exist, so interpretation is up to the artist, but I think this way is very accurate (except for the claw on the 2nd digit, microbats don't have them there). Though a free digit would certainly help with dexterity.

Yup. Although I'm just curious that Bat Wings have only 3 tips to them. So I'd figure that the index finger would be able to move on it's own, or sumtin'.

Yeah, I always thought they had four tips. I guess the 2nd digit's point leads straight into the third, itΒ  is much smaller. *shrugs*

Yeah, the 2nd finger just merges into the 3rd finger. BUT, in a Human biological manner, I think the 2nd finger would just be left on it' own for extra flexibility for the thumb.
Oh, & a long prehensile Tail for greater physical performance, not to mention using their Feet like they would their Hands.

Those things would certainly help him continue his human pastimes

Yup, although he Hands would be a bit complex. Luckily, there's always using your Feet.
