June Brigman really had quite a touch with drawing child characters. And the way that Louise Simonson wrote him... She may have liked writing the mutants, but she wasn't as strong on the X-titles. But when it came to writing them as guest characters, they worked better that way.
Brigman really brought out some of those childish behaviours such as Katie stamping her feet, or Jack's pouting... (Or Alex's hormones) and this gave them some form of magic.
And just like inspiration behind the characters, the Pevensie children of Narnia, There was some magic behind them. Particularly my favourites of the two, Jack and Edmund.
Glad I started writing a bit of Jack... Although I need to finish 2 story arcs before I can have an actual story arc that my spider-clone and Jack will be able to fight together. I'm just stumped on who I'm going to bring in as a villain: Do I bring forth the megalomaniacal schemer Meraud (I am going to bring her back. I know she was killed in the 2000 series, but I'm going to make it that Mother and Son have both become pirates, but whatever cooperation they once had is no longer there, as they will hate each other with a passion. But she does provide a good intellectual villain for the kids) or Jack-al. (High Snarks are a physical threat. Looking at events in Power Pack, he could theoretically be a Colossus class bruiser. And he can be rather clever. And would force Spider-Boy and Mass Master to set aside the egos to work together to take him down) Jack will be a primary support character, for a young adolescent bromance in the fic. (Even though I've already had some yaoi fangirl comment on how she knows what Jack TRULY wants. But it actually amuses me.)

I think of all the artists that worked on the original Power Pack series that June did the best illustrations of the kids.
I've often wondered why they have never come out with a comic book version of the Chronicles of Narnia.

If Brigman did a comic book version of Chronicles of Narnia, I would get it immediately, share it with my brother, but I would treat it as a holy book.
If there is one thing I would absolutely love, would be if Brigman drew a picture of Jack and Rick (my clone)... but I'll wait till they actually interact more deeply before that could truly become a reality.

I'm sure June would love illustrating a Chronicles of Narnia book. The tricky part is finding someone willing to fund such a project.

Point taken. Maybe a patreon would help her on that project.

That is a good idea, or maybe even Kickstarter. I wonder who owns the copyright on the book, or if it has gone into public domain.

Hrm. Interesting. That's something to consider looking into. And I hope it can be made into a possibility.
