It has been awhile since I've posted a ThunderCats illustration and I recently had a request for one and so I am posting this one of Hook Mountain the castle of the Snowmen from show # 13. I don't believe that I've posted this one before. Hope you like it.Related content

It really is quite a majestic looking kingdom. Its a shame in the show that we are really only introduced to Snowman and Snowmeow while the comics show us that there are many snowmen. I suppose it would have greatly increased animation efforts to consistently show a multitude of snowmen, but it would have been nice to see various appearances here and there.
The bottom corner has a signature and date on it that I am having trouble making out. Are you able to note what it says? Thank you for all of these illustrations!

To me, the signature at the bottom looks a bit like it says "Iizuka - y 12/18. Maybe it is the signature of Masaki Iizuka, the production-in-charge on ThunderCats and perhaps the number is some sort of serial number? Just guessing.

Thanks Az! Iizuka would make sense in that case. As you said the number could be anyone's guess as normally it seems a date would be there. Perhaps it predicting the future? Haha

It's always nice seeing these early conception pieces because it shows us more about the thinking and planning process that went into developing the show. Unfortunately I can't make out the signature or date on the bottom. Most of these have something like that on there but it is very hard to read. Some of these were in bad shape when I got them (poor photocopies), and I had to clean some of them up so you can see what they originally intended it to look like. I'm glad to hear that you have been checking my account daily but you don't have to do it quietly. Feel free to comment on my other stuff whenever you see something that you like even if it isn't ThunderCats related.
