Description
We haven't seen a Switch port of a Wii U game since that port of the Fatal Frame game in 2021:
This begs the question on if they're done with those on the Switch, though I wouldn't be surprised if they continued being a thing on Nintendo's next system. If yes then these are the Wii U games that would likely be in for ports:
*Nintendo Land-But only if it's a launch game for the system like the original was, plus it would be ideal to have more attractions like those based off games that came after 2012.
*Sonic Lost World
*Xenoblade Chronicles X-Depends if Monolith Soft are still interested in that game over the official sword fighters with Shulk, Rex and Noah.
*Yoshi's Woolly World-There still should be an entirely new Yoshi game though.
*Runbow
*Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival-Depends on if Amiibo is still a thing with Nintendo's next system.
*Star Fox Zero-Of which can fix issues with the Wii U original, but there should still be an entirely new Star Fox game, especially if the Switch doesn't have one.
These games however I don't see having ports, reasons why are an easy guess:
*Game And Wario-It has stuff with the series that are pretty much outdated for it to get ported, and it was made specifically for the Wii U.
*The Wind Waker HD-The Wii U wouldn't have it's own game if it gets ported, considering how Hyrule Warriors and Breath Of The Wild both have Switch versions.
*Pokemon Rumble U-The Wii U wouldn't have it's own Pokemon game if it gets ported, considering how Pokken Tournament has a Switch version.
*Super Smash Bros. 4-Like they would ever re-release a Smash Bros. game, plus each game can only have something with aspects from what are the most recent games at the time.
*Kirby And The Rainbow Curse-The Wii U wouldn't have it's own game if it gets ported, and this is the only Kirby game that the system ever had.
*Splatoon
*Super Mario Maker
*Twilight Princess HD-The Wii U wouldn't have it's own game if it gets ported, considering how Hyrule Warriors and Breath Of The Wild both have Switch versions.
*Paper Mario: Colour Splash-I only see Nintendo's next system having an entirely new Paper Mario game and a remake of Sticker Star.
