Some of you know I ship Hades and Nox, and after starting to ship them, I wrote a story for them. And now, I was working on this little strip comic for like 5 nights, and finally finished it.
So, I remember learn about Hades story since I was around 7 years old, in TV there was a show called: "The storyteller" (a very recommend show btw, you could find all the full episodes on yt /o/), and there was a chapter for the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. And the sir who acted like Hades was perfect, I loved the madame who made as Persephone. At around 15 years old, I just saw the part of Hades from Hercules by Disney, and I was laughing so fcking hard about it. He really has an awesome personality. And a couple of years after, I played God of war III, and I felt moooore inlove with Hades. Maybe this is why he was the second god I used for loong time on SMITE, I love his ult and his design!
Most of us know that Hades wasnt a bad guy, and actually he is probably the kindest god of greek mythology. I knew this before starting to play Smite, and for some reason, in my heart doesnt enter completely the idea of he, kidnapping Persephone. Only that part.

So here starts my story for Hades n Nox, BUT, is more for the Hades and Persephone context, lmao. As always, personal story.

Being in the underworld just must be hard, specially when you must stay there, not for resting or having troubles with death, but for leading all that kingdom. Sitting alone on the throne and just looking at the top to see souls coming was so terrible for Hades. He really wants someone to talk, to be with.
He got tired of waiting for some miracle to give him a little chance. Stood from his sit, and stopped the long waiting queue of souls, to make this little wish come true. His first steps on earth, once again, were doubful, but there wasnt look back.
Who is she? He thought. The graceful Persephone. Hades just stay quiet, and watched her for a long time, and for every second passed, he found her more and more beautiful.
He remembered... His brothers have family, someone to love. Why... Why he couldnt do the same? Is a god after all.
He remembered too, how his brothers get what they wanted, in some way or another. Why... Why he couldnt do the same?! Being kind, and fair didnt give him what he wants! He needed her. Right now. So he kidnapped Persephone. I will love her, and she will love me, he thought, she will. She will have permission for going to earth on spring. That was the right Persephone got after her mother found her. All is right, no more problems here.
But... If there is no more problems... Why? Why Hades felt so bad, empty, and miserable, when he looked Persephone with this sad aura.
Persephone never complains directly to Hades for her faith. She was pleased that Hades never hurt her as she expected. He was quiet, but sometimes really funny with her, to make her smile time to time. They respected and take care of each other but, there never was a real love between them. They tried, but they failed.
To Hades, it was enough. He was upset with the fact that he turned egoist. And it was time to accepted it. He had a long talk to his wife, and after tears, they agreed in a divorce.
Was a sunny day, they held hands, and walk towards earth. The farewell came. Persephone will miss Hades, and Hades will miss her too.
Back to the underworld. Hades felt alone again. Just walls, and souls around him again.

Till one day, the goddess of night, Nox, went for an audience, because her son, Thanatos was born, and in a few years, he will need a master to learn the arts of dead.
Hades doesn't know, there was another chance to be happy.

And the rest is story, fck off!
This time, he would not act on impulse. He will act as he always did, with kindness and fairness. And time will help him to learn what the duck is love.
