Alex found himself in a strange hospital and followed blinking lights through a corridor until he entered a chamber, which made it clear that the place he was in was not a hospital. And in this chamber, he found Oneshot Wren inside a vat akin to Francis' machine that turned Meggy into a human, except, it was a virtual reality machine of sorts. Unaware of what was even going on, Alex was shocked and worried for the squid who was Meggy's idol.
