Description
I decided to make some Mega Man-style pixel art of my comfort character and favorite character design of all time: Sig (シグ) from the Puyo Puyo (ぷよぷよ) series.
At first I sprited him in his modern clothes: a dark-blue t-shirt with white sleeves, with the collar and seams around the shoulders colored green, as well as a white bug design in the center. However, I also decided to include his outfit from Puyo Puyo Tetris (ぷよぷよテトリス): a white jacket with a cerulean zipper and sleeves. I also decided to put a ladybug resting on top of his head, since he is rarely seen in any official art without one.
I made these sprites in my original style I use for most of my Mega Man sprites, but I also decided to make a "classic" version of it to be suitable for Special Weapon color palette swaps. I used the following Mega Man weapons as examples for the palette swaps: Mega Buster (Mega Man), Rush Coil / Rush Jet, Thunder Wool (Sheep Man), Chain Blast (Blast Man), Block Dropper (Block Man), and Oil Slider (Oil Man).

I really love Sig as a character, and I see a lot of myself in him. I had lots of fun doing this, and it brought such pure amounts of joy to my heart ;w; (except for the hair it was a pain to do and I had to simplify it a bit)
