The Boogie Man

Alias: DJ Gambit

DJ Gambit was a smooth party deejay talented in retro-techno boogie music who attended annual night club raves. However, this was just a façade of his true self as a secret monster crime boss known as "The Boogie Man" who used his music as a way to hypnotize and control innocent people to become monsters like him, until his plans were exposed by the Powerpuff Girls. Him, in the disguise of Peter St. Ciferul, hired him as one on his assets. The Boogie Man has the special ability to hypnotize people with his turntables and keyboards, forcing them to dance to the music and slowly transform into a monster under his control. His moon chain necklace given by Him granted him the immunity to bright lights and the sun. Dark, greedy, and narcissistic, the Boogie Man is one of the girl’s most ominous enemies and a groovy terror who loves to go bump and jam in the night.

Abilities: Supernatural boogie music causes hypnotic dancing and monster transformations

Weapons: Razor teeth and claws, electric guitar

Notes:

· Unlike the original Boogie Man who was a one-time villain in the original series, this version of the Boogie Man is a recurring villain, as well as an ally to Him, alongside Sedusa and the Rowdyruff Boys.

· DJ Gambit has a tattoo on his right shoulder which reads, Blame It On The Boogie! This is an obvious nod to the Boogie Man’s slogan “Blame it on the Boogie!” from the episode, “Boogie Frights,” of the original cartoon.

· The added mohawk of the Boogie Man’s revamped design is a light homage to the Boogey Man from The Real Ghostbusters, who was voiced by Frank Welker.
