For Day 23 of the Artist Training Grounds on EQD:"Draw a Pony Staying Up Late / Draw a Pony in the Dark"
I know I'm not the only person to draw Twilight like this, but I couldn't resist. I tried a smoother line art style this time, and I really think it worked out.

Nice colors and lighting! You know, mixing complementary colors for light and shadow is a classic technique (so the lit areas are colored in warm tones and the shaded ones in cool tones). Check out some of the night scenes by Howard Pyle for the textbook examples.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking of that when I made this. I didn't follow the formula strictly, but I like how it turned out
