Back when I hit 4444 I had a kiriban and Baloonprincess won. She asked for a fanart based on the Lost in Space episode "War of the Robots". For a whole bunch of reasons I have only just gotten round to doing it. It isn't exactly the scene she asked for bit I had this brilliant idea and I couldn't resest so I hope she will accept this as partial fulfillment of that pledge.On the table is Mrs Robinson's smashed watch on Dr Smith's handkerchief, a magic wand for the suit of wands, an anodised aluminium picnic cup representing the suit of cups, a pentacle pendant from Dr. Smith's ill gotten gain stash for the suit of pentacles and one of Guy Williams' fencing foils for the suit of swords.
That's the Jupiter 2 behind him and you can see the backs of the control panels through the viewport.
Also It is the first in a series. When I checked the tarot wiki for the attributes of the Magician I realised that I could relate each one of the major arcana to a Lost in Space episode so I will be working my way through it as an occasional thing from now until I finish it whenever.
Lost in Space belongs to Fox blah blah blah...

I've seen many TV and movie inspired tarot decks but I'm yet to come across a Lost in Space one.
There are usually two sorts of these tarots; the ones where they plonk a random character in a Rider-Waite style setting, and the ones where thought goes into each card's construction.
This card is sooo awesomely of the latter variety.

They used the Forbidden Planet robot in several LIS episodes. In this one Will finds an evil "robotoid" that tries to supplant the Robot so that it can deliver the Jupiter 2 party to it's evil masters for use as slaves and to provide directions to Earth for an invasion. In the end there was a fight robot to robot and the LIS robot won.
