Okay to answer your question before you ask it, Neo slipped past the others rather easily. Whether she caused an illusion to get by them or just walked right past them in the midst of their brawl. Perhaps she teleported, because she can apparently do that in the show. Which means she has two Semblances. Hey, guess what, Cinder? Neo beat you to it!
Anyways this is just the next part of my comic that has been going since I learned that you all actually liked my short series. Thank you all very much for your kind words and favorites. I'm happy to make you all happy. ^_^

I am certain Neo survived being knocked off the ship. After that...she got to watch as said ship crashed and burned, and no Torchwick to be found anywhere... I do suspect Neo is currently very angry, and holding a grudge against Ruby Rose. Neo is cute and all, but she is a deadly dangerous fighter with the instincts of a hunting cat and a Semblance and complementary skill package to allow her to get a decisive hit in early. So there are a couple of possibilities:
1. Cinder calls in Neo and sends her after those pesky meddling kids. Get revenge & get paid too, lovin' it! Then we can all sweat when any NPC of a certain height walks up to a Team RWBY member, or if Jaune suddenly wonders why Ruby is taking so long in the restroom, even for a girl...
1.5. Swap Adam for Cinder as an alternate motivating boss. If Neo can successfully mimic a faunus girl Team RWBY can get set up for real.
2. Neo stalks Team RWBY for her own revenge as an independent agent of mischief. Which will pretty much guarantee one potential or actual good guy triumph getting ruined when she suddenly ninjas the scene!
3. Neo takes over Torchwick's criminal schemes and stays out of the story for a while. Then Team RWBY needs something that only she & her gang can procure for them, and they find out she is the boss they needed to talk to... "Awkward" doesn't begin to describe it.
