Fun and poignant tribute. When 'Enterprise' came out, I was thinking, 'But she'd be Bonaventure Class!' I felt so... let down.

So what happened to Rick Sternbach's Baton Rouge class as warp 8 testbed? The bonaventure was a single hull ship like the intrepid and the enterprise (nx)

There are a LOT of continuity errors in Star Trek. This is the canon Bonaventure design and appeared on Star Trek TAS Episode "The Time Warp". It was the first ship with warp drive installed.

No worries, sorry about any misunderstanding but I never watched the animated series. The single hull Bonadventure that I referred to was a Rick Sternback sketch for a desktop model for inclusion in a ST:TNG episode.
