Description Ploughed Field, i liked the lines over the slopes.

This photo is entering the "Earth - The Deepest Respect" contest, see here -> [link]

I think it shows Man`s impact on the Planet somewhat.

I love texture and the depth to this goes way beyond the frame... if you know what I mean.

Great shot!

I love it ! Unusual neutrality compared what is on photo magazines like ap, outdoor photo etc.

Usually such fields are full of blue bells or daffodils.

amazing shot

Very nice shot. I would dare to suggest that this is a special field, as it is not just ploughed but specially prepared, properly for asparagus. Please compare my shot of an asparagus field taken here in the Netherlands.

For a ploughed field it has a certain something that is very pleasing to the eye. Like this one.

cycoze In reply to Lightfoot11 [2007-09-15 19:06:57 +0000 UTC]

yep i enjoyed it , we were there for about an hour and a half, the half hour spent waiting for someone to give up the only 40D the Canon stand had, after i had a play with it we came away.

Picked my 40D up yesterday

Lightfoot11 In reply to cycoze [2007-09-15 19:13:59 +0000 UTC]

Now that was a bummer.

Is it any better that the one's you already have?

Was there anything else catch your eye.

I could not get down, work got in the way, for a change.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cycoze In reply to Lightfoot11 [2007-09-15 19:24:39 +0000 UTC]

the 40 is the same body as the 30 but with different external layout on the back, main changes are a bigger screen, 2mp more, vibrating sensor to stop the dust settling, faster fps, i wanted to have two decent cameras so thought i would get another 30 or go for the 40.

plenty to catch my eye, i had a play with the new 1D and 1Ds, awesome cameras but out of my price band for now, intuos graphics tablet that is on my wishlist, some masking software that i am going to download a trial of.

Then there were a couple of Manfrotto tripod heads that i fancy, i have one of the Hydrolastic ball head`s at present, there was a three way i want to get for indoor work but may get one of the sliding macro heads instead as it will cover both, then a new frame head for large lenses, have bought that now

What else, i wanted a new ring flash but could not afford the Canon, so opted for a Sigma after trying one out at the roadshow

So yes plenty caught my eye and plenty emptied my wallet

Lightfoot11 In reply to cycoze [2007-09-15 19:37:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Cy, I needed that. There are a number of items you mentioned that I would like. I have the graphic pad (Cheap one) but cannot use. the brain cannot decide if I am left or right handed when I pick up the pen. (See my journal, all will make sense)

I need a flash, looking at the SB800 and then a ring flash and I agree with the Sigma.

My next purchase will be the Sigma 10-20 lense, probably for Christmas. Hope my wife reads this.

So I got it wrong, you did enjoy yourself.

this is the most abstract thing ive ever seen you do, i love it, it makes me want to just run all over it, jumping and stomping and messing up it's neat lines. it also reminds me of japanese sand art, very feng shui.
what do you think they are going to plant there?
