what quality do you render these at? cuz mine always have a grainy blur on a black background >.>

I'm rendering most of my fractals at quality 2000. If you have noise in yours, it probably comes from the transforms and variations you are using, not from the quality of the rendering. Some transforms, especially those who extend pixels over a large area, often produce noise. The solution is to restrict their influence, either by moving them or resizing them, or change the variations on the transforms.

My first thought was an oil lantern giving off this soft warm glow at night while being carried from one house to another. Thus the look of movement..
Excellent!!!

I read the first comment and see her point, but 'warmth' is a very subjective word which lends itself to many interpretations.

My first impression was of a wall sconce, with a lit candle inside, throwing off a soft and gentle light. You used warm colors which are slightly toned, creating more a sense of embers than of fire (....hence the title). You've succeeded so well in making this image glow with gentle heat, I imagine that I should be able to hold my hands out to the monitor and feel the warmth throught the screen.

Thanks Kat, I have worked very carefully on this one, both on the shapes and colors, in an attempt to depict a pleasing sensation of... warmth! As you say, this word can have many interpretations, from simply agreeable to intensity and passion, and according to the dictionary, it's also "The glowing effect produced by using predominantly red or yellow hues". And you know I like words

You're welcome, Luc.

I'll need to think carefully about some of the titles you choose for your images, as there may be as much going on in the words as in the pictures.

This is very beautiful, and a tad suggestive. Or do I just have naughtiness on the brain? Either way, I like it, but I'm not sure why. I'm not very good at being constructive, all I know is that it's pretty.

Looking at it again, I agree it may be a tad suggestive, your brain is completely normal.
And thanks for your comment.
