So anyway, getting back into the routine of trying to be creative, I spent this evening watching through old Sonic Adventure 2 cutscenes in order to try and absorb some inspiration from it. I suppose you can say it helped somewhat, haha.

This is in response to something I couldn't help but find rather funny:

Really, Shadow? You happen to have the knowledge of a government spy who happens to be named "Rouge the Bat" but you don't think to connect the dots until this rather crucial moment? Did you really believe that "Rouge the Bat" was a common name out there in the big world?! How many people do you think share that same identity?!!

But don't worry, Shadow. You're too badass for imperfection, so I will back you up here and ensure the world that this was all quite an easy mistake to make-- by establishing "Rouge the Bat" as a common name and introducing FOUR more!

1. Rouge the Bat is a 5 year old girl from the Green Hill Zone. She is a huge troublemaker and is notorious for getting into all sorts of mischief, especially at her local play group. The biggest prank she pulled was on a rabbit and her pet chao at said play group. Suffice to say, it was because of Rouge that this rabbit's mother decided it was best to homeschool her daughter.

2. Rouge the Bat is a 17 year old young man now situated in Central City. Years ago, he was a good friend and coleague to the now famous fashionista, Honey the Cat. The two of them would collaborate on all sorts of projects; Honey would design the clothing while Rouge would style the models. When Honey hit stardom, Rouge was mostly left behind. However that didn't get his spirits down, he still works in the big city having set up his own salon in the heart of Central City. He takes pride in all of his frequent customers, especially feeling joy that a bubbly pink hedghog considers him the best at what he does.

3. Rouge the Bat is a 26 year old businesswoman operating all over the globe, her base of operations located in Avalon, Grand Kingdom. Rouge is a ruthless and cunning woman, her terribly cold nature being known to those around, especially those who have a hand in the criminal underworld. Her business front is as innocent as it comes, acting as a renowned financial advisor-slash-accountant. However under the surface she is behind all sorts of criminal activity, ranging from dealing with the Babylon Rogues dirty race winnings, to funding known bounty hunters across the Mobian Isles. Currently she is overseeing delivery of procured Soleanean equipment to the very wealthy CEO of MeteoTech. The biggest thorn in her side are a trio of wannabe detectives who owe her a great sum of money.

4. Rouge the Bat is an 82 year old retired singer and actress, formerly of Westside Island, now residing in the quiet country of Apotos. 50 years ago, she was a world renowned celebrity, acting out in several movies, stage productions and concerts. At the peak of her career, she was loved by all especially by humanfolk when she supported and performed for G.U.N. troops before they were deployed. Not long after as a result of a military insurgence, many children were left orphaned and without homes. Rouge put her career aside to volunteer with relief work, temporarily taking in a young human boy who lost his family in the disaster. She took care of him for a few months until a new family was assigned for him. In the present day, she still keeps in touch with the boy through letters, who has grown up since to become the leader of the soldiers she once performed for.

This was a really random idea that I probably had too much fun with, hahaha. In case you're tl;dr-ing on, no these aren't alternate Rouges or anything, they're just random characters in the world who happen to share the same name. I'm starting to re-appreciate the world-building aspect of my creativity, hah. Anyways, not really taking this seriously at present, since this is a rather silly idea despite the rather half-serious character descriptions. Sorry for the unfinished art too, it's late and I'm tired but I wanted to post something before going to bed. I'll finish it off properly tomorrow after work.
