Weiss is, first and foremost, an adventure-seeker. His reason for embarking on this journey is to explore everything Borealis has to offer, rather than being cooped up in his home all day. He finds inspiration in the things that he sees and the people he meets, and above all, loves hearing their stories. He is an open-minded individual with a friendly disposition, and sometimes a little naive.

Don't let his baby face fool you, though. As innocent as he looks, his mind's usually, probably, in the gutter, and he absolutely loves playing pranks on people. It's one of his favourite pasttimes, and the more you react, the more creative he gets with his pranks. He's usually able to worm his way out of bad situations with a fake apologetic smile, as he puts his charms to good use.

Weiss grew up super sheltered and privileged. His parents bred their Pokemon for battle and entered them in underground tournaments then tossed the weaker ones out on the street, which he found was inhumane. He didn't like being confined to either his stupid manor and stupid 'Pokemon battle training books', so he found respite in art. Eventually, he got fed up and escaped during one of his parents' weekly underground tournaments, and now happy travels the region, free.

LONG VERSION
As a child, Weiss grew up in Nyx Oasis, a haven for the wealthy and home to more slot machines than he ever wants to see again. He was sheltered and privileged, with overprotective parents. There were few times where he actually left the house, and when he did... well. Their favourite pasttime was heading down, underground, to the fighting tournaments. They sent their own, breeded and trained Pokemon, down to compete, and wouldn't stop until the Pokemon were completely incapacitated. If one seemed to be weaker than the others, or wasn't holding its own, it was thrown into the streets to whither away.

He spent most of his childhood in his parent's enormous manor, studying book after book on Pokemon breeding to raise supersoldiers for the underground tournaments. It was true, their Pokemon were usually the victors, but that didn't make it better. Weiss absoluetly despised this practice; it was inhumane. He tried reasoning with his parents, but it was of no use. He was abysmal, living his entire life behind closed doors, shut away from the real world, or underground, watching his parent's battle-bred Pokemon destroying the opposition's.

He found his escape in art. When he wasn't studying, he had a paintbrush in hand and glanced longingly out the window, painting the scenery he saw. He developed a sharp eye and could spot the folds of a person's jacket, even from a block away. Each passing day, he observed and learned, watching the people that passed in front of his home. They each had their own story, their own ambitions, dreams... If only he could go out and discover them.

Eventually, when he was 14, he decided he had had enough. He packed as many things as he could into his bag; food, maps, sketchbooks... When his parents dragged him along to the weekly pit fight, he made a break for it. His parents were so enthralled by their Battlebreds that they didn't realize he was gone until Weiss was halfway to Deadman's Playground.

He didn't stay there for long, as it was beyond dangerous. Making a small profit out of selling artwork, he trudged his way through Borealis, but not unhappily. Weiss lived for this, being free; he decided to start his own Pokemon journey in hopes of discovering everything Borealis region has to offer, and having some faithful companions, with stories of their own, along the way.

First meeting - When Weiss heard Rotom was his celestially destined starter, he didn't have much time to react, since the first thing Rotom, now fondly named Lectro, did was posses his handheld console and pretend to slam against the wall. Needless to say, Weiss practically had a heard attack.

Weiss adores Lectro to bits. They have similar personalities, and appropriately, are partners in crime. Having the ability to possess electronics, Weiss can now develop extremely elaborate schemes to prank people, and boy is getting yelled at worth their reaction. Lectro is fiercely loyal to his trainer and does its best to keep him happy and help him out; in return, he isn't usually in its Pokeball, since Weiss tries his best to give him fresh air. Lectro is fond of possessing Weiss' games from time to time to give him a good scare.
