Black Lantern Ruby: "Hope? I had hope once. It got me butcheredΒ to deathΒ by fearful villagers."

Ruby's ghost: "And I forgive them for it. I won't abandon them as long as they suffer, either by the old curse or the new, I won't abandon any pony to suffer! I will save them, no matter how long it takes!"
BKL Ruby: "What makes you think a few hopeful words is going to change anything? You're a just ghost!"
BL Sweetie Belle: "Anypony who has nothing left, can still have faith! And she's not alone - with our help, she will succeed!"
OA Applebloom: "You saved mah life, Ruby, back at Sunnytown. Yer MAH friend, MINE, just like Scoots and Sweetie! And ah ain't gonna let no zombie rings from Outah Space take ya away from meh!"
RL Scootaloo: "Hey, I'm not for forgiveness or saving, but I'm tagging along the ride!"
BL Sweetie Belle: "See? I knew we'll get back together! Shall we say it together? Once more?
OA Applebloom: "You bet!"
RL Scootaloo: "Let's do it!"
All three: "Cutie Mark Crusaders LANTERN FILLIES! YAY!!!"
Ruby's ghost: "Nice motto."
BKL Ruby: [Facehooves] "You lot are REALLY hopeless..."Β
[BKL Ruby waves her ringed hoof, which summons, to all the the living's (and one ethereal's) horror, a small horde of undead Black Lantern fillies and colts, those that died young, unfortunate deaths a long time ago, all wearing the Black Ring and Costume, bearing soulless eyes upon their half-rotten face that hungers for living emotions and hearts]
BKL Ruby: "Just like my hope led me to my death, your hope shall be led you to yours!" [Waves her hoof forward] "TEAR THEM TO PIECES!"
RL Scootaloo: "Err... maybe we should had thought this through..."

[Wave after wave of Black Lanterns swarm the three young fillies.]
RL Scootaloo: [Spewing plasma at the zombies.] "COME ON!! Is all that all you got!?" [Even more black lanterns emerge.] "Oh. I guess it wasn't."
OL Applebloom: "Don't worry, Scootaloo, Mah constructs can handle them nasty varmints--HEY!" [Sees some Black Lantern gnawing on her constructs.] "Get off those are mine, y'hear?! MINE!"
[Elsewhere, Sweetie Belle, unable to produce constructs without a Green Lantern ring, is being chased by BKL Ruby and other black lanterns.]
BL Sweetie Belle: "You guys, we need to stick together and combine our rings to stop them, we can't just go off by ourselves--you guys!"
BKL Ruby: "Who are you trying to kid, Sweetie Belle?" [Lassos Sweetie Belle's leg with her ring.] "Zecora told me all about you three, and I know that you're no leader, you just go along with whatever Scootaloo or Applebloom does." [The Black Lantern yanks the filly towards her.] "You're a sheep, not a pony."
[BKL Ruby traps Sweetie from the neck down in a metal box.]
Ruby's ghost: "Leave her alone!"
BKL Ruby: "Or what? You'll leave glowy hoofprints everywhere?"
[BKL Rudy reaches towards the Blue Lantern's heart. Applebloom and Scootaloo are too far away to help.]
Ruby's ghost: "NO--!"
[The apparition tries grab her former body, partially phasing through it...]
[Suddenly, Rudy found herself transported to an all too familiar room. A group of ponies are staring at her in horror. "The mark! The mark!" one of them shouts and the ponies advance on her, looks of fear and rage on their faces...]
[Rudy screams and pulls away from the Black Lantern. BKL Ruby pauses and turns to look scornfully at the ghost.]
BKL Ruby: "Some protector you turned out to be. Only able to give vague warnings to ponies, never able to give any actual help. You might as well just move on, Ruby. Everypony else will be joining you soon enough."

"Should we run?" AO Applebloom asked.
"Should we hide?" RL Scootaloo asked.Β
The two then nodded together and shouted.Β "WE SHOULD KICK THEIR BUTTS!"Β
Applebloom's orange construct-slaves attacked wielding weapons made out of red light. The two armies now on equal footing.Β
BL Sweetie Belle said, "Don't be silly Ruby! They're only memories! They can't hurt you! Laugh them off! What happened was horrible, it's what WAS happening! It's not what IS happening! They're ghosties in your memories, that means they can't hurt you now! Giggle off the ghosts who CAN! HA-HA-HA!"
BKL Ruby, "Stop laughing!"
BL Sweetie Belle, "HA HA HA!"
BK Ruby, "This isn't funny! THIS IS YOUR DEATH!"
"She's right, I am being silly, being scared of stupid memories." Ruby embrace her corpse, "HA HA HA!"Β

Ruby found himself again in the cabin, her scared and angry friends and family approaching her.Β
"This is a memory! That makes it's happening only in my mind! And that means I'm only imagining it! And that means I get to say what happens next! And I say-"
"HAPPY CUTIE-EINERIA!" the Sunny towners all cheered, now wearing party hats and with cake.Β
"GGGAAAAH!" Black Lantern Ruby screamed in the real world holding her head, the black holding Sweetie dissolved.Β

"So this how you want to do this, invader," said the Black Lantern. "You honestly don't have any idea what you're up against." The happy party suddenly dissolved and Ruby found herself back in reality. "Would you like to see what we really are?"
Ruby tried to pull away from her corpse, but she was beiing drawn towards the Black Lantern's ring.
"RUBY!" the crusader cried as Ruby was sucked into the ring.
"Now you will know what these fools are still in the dark about..." said Black Lantern Ruby.
Ruby was floating in a vast, black void. Ruby quickly discovered that she could not move. Her body was stiff and frozen, for the first time in a long time she felt cold.
"This is how it began."
The voice shook Ruby to the core. Coming from everywhere at once, reverberating in her skull.
"This is what the beginning of time looked. There was absolute order. There was absolute peace. And then you came."
The void suddenly exploded into Β a cacophony of images and sounds. Most of them featured strange, ape-like alien.
"You all stole away that peace. Polluting and infesting all of reality with your very existance. But we did stand for it. We fought back."
The images changed, now they showed the ape creatures being attacked by black monstosity. In one image, a Β winged alien was viciously beaten to death by a sneering, elongated Black Lantern. In another, a undead horror with a burning skull turned a female into salt using some strange magic while an unseen male begged it to spare her.
"And now, our enemies--"A literal rainbow collection of creatures appeared before Ruby and then quickly disappeared. "--have come here to spread their influence...unknowingly allowing us to follow them into this world. Allowing us to become stronger than we were before."
The images now showed the Prime Lanterns--Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applebloom, and Pinkie Pie--all in various states of concern.
"The Lanterns cannot prevail. Even now, they weaken and tire. The light dims as the Blackest Night wears on. They lost this war the moment the rings first fell from the skies."

Ruby, "Wow. You really DON'T know us. And I was expecting dark or grand retort. Not the mindless shallow stereotype of cutie marks that led to my murder."
"MINE!"Β
A giant orange snake appeared in the blackness, grabbed in its jaws and pulled back.Β
Ruby was rubbed out of her corpse. She looked down at herself and realized she was now wearing an orange costume. "Applebloom!"
"Now ya can ever get taken from me again!"Β

BKL Ruby: "So, basically you stole my soul."
OL Applebloom: "Ah didn't take her soul! Ah just made her a part of mah corp, that's all."
BKL Ruby: "Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing you. After all, that's how orange lanterns are supposed work. They kill their enemies and then they steal their identities and use them as constructs."
OL Applebloom: "Ah haven't killed anypony! And Ah didn't steal Ruby's identity or soul or whatever, Ah'm keeping safe from no-good vermaints like you!"
BKL Ruby: "Keeping her safe? Like all those cutie marks you took from those ponies. Are you keeping those safe too?"

Ruby, "It's not your soul, it's MY soul, you're the black using my empty shell as a vessel."Β

BKL Ruby: "And now you're just a hollow shell being used by the Orange Lantern."Β

= Warning! Warning! Orange Light Contamination! Command Line Breached! = Screeched the black ring.Β
BLK Ruby glared at Applebloom "YOU! YOU INFECT ME!"Β
"Yer the zambee, don't be a hypocrite now."Β
OL Ruby, "You think you'd have noticed when you voice stopped having that twisted octive to it. Mindless zombie."Β

IH Rarity: Ugh. I do not look forward to her teenage years. She'll be fighting the colts off with a stick.

What makes you say that?

Well assuming Equestria is still around come her teenage years:
(a). She'd be considered a badflank superhero if only by virtue of having survived the war whilst serving as a peewee lantern.
(b). If she turns out anything like her sister in terms of physical apperance, then she'll be quite attractive physically by most ponies standards.
(c). She has a merry and welcoming personality.
(d). Goodness knows what prolonged exposure/use/interaction with the energies of Blue Light of Hope and the Element of Laughter will have on a miniature magical equine who has yet to receive her Cutie Mark. But I'd wager that overall the results will turn out to be more positive than negative - Starlight in her eyes and Laughter in her soul.
(e). The Spandex. That is all.
I dare say that Silverspoon and Diamond Tiara will also have this 'problem' come their teenage years.
