This is a masterpiece. Possibly the most impressive painting I ever saw here on DA. I was just browsing around, searching for some good Classic Rock art, when I saw this. Perfect. Sadly there are only 5 stars for impact, because this deserves more. The impact is amazing- it's breathtaking even from the thumbnail. There are a lot of very original ideas- the fire and smoke, seemingly representing the music, are the most evident and clear example. Then, the technique. Astonishing. Highly realistic- and yet with a degree of stylisation, that captures perfectly the atmosphere. As for the visual part, it's just amazing- perfect, dare I say. It really left me astonished. This painting is wonderful.

Indeed Jimmy is magic with his bow and Les Paul.
His stance, the way he's leaning back and into the bow makes his stomach muscles more pronounced...but he's really rather thin
