Thank you so much for appreciating this painting. I have been working in animal shelters for almost ten years. Due to the impact this has had on my emotional wellbeing I have recently retired. I love every living thing on this Earth except the people who dump off their pets at a shelter as though they are used furniture - these little ones, who thought they were part of a family and find themselves left in a cage...well, I will leave this picture to your imagination. I am happy, though, that during my time at this work I had literally adopted out thousands of these animals to loving, permanent homes. Now, at  times, the unwanted will be reflected in future paintings so that are not forgotten

Thank you for your interest in this painting. Aside from my artwork, I work for an animal shelter, trying to find permanent homes for these incredible animals.
