When the sky is clear, the evening sun has this pretty yellow tint to it that makes for some really beautiful colour synergy with the cool shadows.So yeah, this is my OC, Watercolour Splash. Or something like that, I'm bad with names. She's not new, but she's been redesigned somewhat.
This pic was a pretty nice success! Some actual edge control for once, and I think I'm getting better at choosing the right colours. The only thing I'd change is probably the background, which I got sick of working on halfway through the process, which is why it looks so terrible xD

Good work with the picture!! I like the gradation from mostly yellow to a pirple tint in the rooms ambience. Hmm i think more contrast on the focal point will help this piece greatly.

And yeah, it probably would, but I wasn't really focusing on that much, more on trying to get the shapes and colours and stuff

I'd like to think that I'm good at painting, but then I'm always disappointed by what I draw. Better to think I'm not good and get pleasantly surprised by drawings like this one, I say.

That's one way to think of it! I sometimes do the same, that way I don't get let down as much too. But it's also good to have confidence, even in failure. Half the fight with art is in the thought, not always ability (:
