Half my friends missed Cainhurst on their first playthroughs. Β When I told them about it, they couldn't believe it was so easy to miss out on such a large chunk of content. Β It really makes you pay attention to detail.
There's something special about the first time in an area in a Souls game. Β That sense of wonder and caution, also fear and determination. Β I'm seeing the latter here, but maybe I'm reading into it too much.

Those ticks were the worst. Β There's a bunch of them in the Old Hunters dlc, but they're easy to cheese where they're at.
