Description An example of Drome Wildlife I created for my unfinished (of course!) Drome Sourcebook book project. They're all kind of rough around the edges, but I bit off way more than I could chew with that project. I got an A+ in the class without even finishing the intended entirety of the book, so I guess it was pretty good. Maybe I'll post the full text (as it stands) here at some point. Because god damn, you guys deserve some sort of explanation as to what this Drome thing I've been rambling about for years is all about.

The text accompanying this illustration:

Sectiles are another fairly common animal group on Drome. Their appearance is a mishmash of insect and reptile features; they possess the endoskeleton and general body layout of reptiles, but also have an exoskeleton-like covering of chitinous plates and six segmented legs. This bizarre appearance causes some of the larger and more exotic sectile species to resemble dragons and basilisks of Earth mythology. Sectiles are almost exclusively carnivorous, sharing this ecological niche with the similarly-sized muths.

Pictured above is the bust of a Western Red Wyrm, one of the large draconian species found in the badlands of Sinlong. It is the longest, and often considered to be the most dangerous, of all sectile species. When a red wyrm flies over a village, it is considered a bad omen of things to come.

I didn't mean it as an insult. It just reminds me of a pokemon.
