My latest work this time featuring our favorite green tunic wearing friend. Idea for this scene is Link from A Link To The Past on his way out of the forest after taking the Master Sword from the stone takes a moment to gaze onto its old and worn yet still astonishing form.Related content

Yes, this is a debatable subject I guess. In my opinion the changes in link have been more about the evolution of his artwork and design than the different links.Β The old art work of link from A link to the Past isn't very detailed so when I picture Link in a realistic manor I picture a lot of the details that have been added to him over the years.Β This very of Link was actually set to most closely resemble the version that will be in the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. Still I could have given him the brown sleeves and all of the A link to the past version of him but most likely I would still have included a lot of the details that I did that made the most sense for a realistic interpretation.

I love the Zelda games so much I can't wait to get the new on 3DS I hope the new one will be amazing on Wii U thats come out next yearΒ Β Β Β

What are the steps please? Do you do the sketch on photoshop, or first on paper and then scan it?

I sketched it in photoshop on a new layer then painted under it to get good values in monochrome then dropped out the sketch layer and continued painting only reapplying it when I needed to recheck something.Β In the end it changed a bit from the initial sketch as I changed my mind about some things.

and what tablet you use? I do not afford to buy a Wacom one. I am looking to buy something cheaper but same quality.

I use the Yiynova MSP19U, it's less than half the prize of a similar size cintiq.Β I think I already discussed some of this with you in a note though.
