Magic: Illusionary Petals - Juan is surrounded by petals, creating an illusion of himself. He is either able to use this as an escape or giving him an opening for an offensive attack with his sword. A strong gust will make the petals vanish, hence shattering the illusion. It works best during calm nights.

Juan is a rather calm being, not much will make him lose his temper nor make him quickly super excited. Once someone is able to gain him as a friend, he will be very loyal and even if you did a mistake he will most likely forgive you afetr a while. (Unless it's a really bad one.) He is able to self-support himself and is rather skillful when it comes to various things. For exmaple cooking or fighting with his sword. It won't take him too long to learn something.
If you try to fool him - good luck, he most likely will be able to tell what you're up to.

Not many things will get to him, he keeps his distance and observes one from afar. During quarrels Juas is neutral and won't pick any side. Only when the two parties decide to fight and are his friends he will step inbetween to stop them.

Due to him keeping his distance and not trying to get emotionally involved with anyone, he might appear as cold at the first glimpse. Yet his impulsive behavior might take over and he does things without really thinking through it beforehand. This happens rarely though. Juan doesn't trust easily and will question information you give him, while he sceptical looks at you.

History
Juan comes from a village far north where it snows most of the time. Found at the entrance of the temple close by, he was raised by the priests there. Most of the time he was a troublesome child, he was either lazying around or causing trouble.
Eventually he met a half wolf person, who belonged to one of the clans, which lived inside of the village. They become close friends and spent msot of the time together.
One day the rivaling clans inside the village started a fight and led to a war between them. His friend who was part of one of the clans joined the fight, leading him and Juan arguing. His friend asked him to help, but in Juan's opinion it was stupid to join the fight and push it even futher - he liked causing trouble but didn't want people there who were always nice to him get injuired. They parted until his firends clan slowly started to threaten the temple people, who tried not to get involved.
Juan wasn't able to talk it out and he two former friends clashed on the temple grounds. Juan survived the fight with a heavy injury on his face, while his friend succumbed to the life-threatening injuries.
A while later the clans settled the fight and piece came back. Not for Juan though. Feeling guilty he decided to leave the place he spent most of his life, since he couldn't stand staying there any longer. He didn't know where he should go, he still is unsure. After some years of wandering around he arrived at Mizuyama. Tired of walking and having seen such many things, he decided to settle down there for a while.

During to his journeys he was able to learn various languages when interacting with different people. Most were so kind and teach him or even gifted him books. Due to this he is able to work as a translator by request in Mizuyama.
