I haven't been posting it on here recently, but I haven't stopped working on my rpg project.Here is a screen that shows the first town, and really the first place you get to freely move about in the game.
All artwork except for the sprites has been done by myself. The sprites are a community resource available for non commercial use, and modified by myself.

Although I probably won't get a lot of people viewing this, I'm going to add this anyway:
After working on this project solo for quite some time, I have decided to try and expand this to a group project. In particular I am hoping to find a skilled scripter (RGSS), and someone who'd be willing to do some character artwork (in your own style, of course). I could probably use some help in other areas too, if you are moderately familiar with rpg maker/game making. Send me a note if you are interested in this for more info.

would make great mmorpg but since ur probably indie it would be extremely hard

Even for a dedicated developer with financial backing an mmo is extremely hard.

Are you still in the process of making this game? Are you using RPG maker? I'm going into Game Design in college, and this might be a good source of experience.

I still work on bits of it (mostly the story and lore) here and there, but with my new job and school going on it's kind of on hiatus for now. It is built with RPG maker, but with all original artwork by myself, and with battle modification scripts from others. That's cool you're pursuing a game design degree, wanted to do that myself but ended up opting for computer science instead. Rpg maker can definitely give you some experience, but mostly with game theory, pacing, world + story building, ect. I think most Game Design colleges that I've looked into or heard about use Game Maker for their entry level classes though.

There's not really any scripts in this screen shot, just show picture commands and whatnot. The Sprite's are from Mack's charset maker and modified by myself.

This is great.. I used to play around with RPG Maker. My best friend has made a couple of pretty in-depth games.. How do you make a text-box like that?? It's transparent over the girl..the girl is solid.. If you could make a tutorial on the text box, I think it would be truly spectacular.. it's beautiful! Love the art.

Yeah, as it looks like you found out I made it. I do share them though as long as its not for commercial use and people ask me first ^^
The site I host them at is down right now though, and has outdated tilesets anyway. I can upload them for you if you want.
