Yes, finally page 1 of my own deerie comic!
I'm sorry, that it's a little boring, the next page has a lot more action!
I've been working on this for several days, and I got some mixed feelings.
I really enjoyed it, and I seriously can't wait to start on the next page (sadly homework is distracting me) but I also had it really different in mind.
I also started on this comic because I want to practise practise practise. I want to practise backgrounds, poses and expressions, and this is a great way to do it.
And, I also noticed I need to practise to get a consistent style.
I think Rain looks different in the last panel, especially comparing to the fifth panel.
So I'll be practising on that too! c:

Have you ever done tutorials before? I just love how you draw your deer. I have a deer character for a fantasy story..but i have never drawn her before.

No I have not..When I draw an animal I've never drawn before I always look at some photo's to learn the anatomy and such c:
I could make a tutorial but I'm still learning as well, so I don't know if it would be very helpful haha xD
To practise you could also trace photo's, that's an easy way to remember important things.
Like how deer have triangle shaped butts and a really flat back, I didn't really realize that until I studied some photo's!

Okay, I hope you don't mind but I'm going to make some friendly suggestions for improvement as a reader of this comic, bearing in mind I've no experience with comic making myself. I still hope you find my suggestions helpful.
Perhaps some stronger shadows being cast by the characters? I get the feeling from your colouring and sky in the first panel that it's a not-exactly-sunny-but-not-exactly-rainy-day. Something in between, or perhaps a light drizzle is about to approach (personally I like that) but I still feel the shadows should be a wee bit stronger. Some stronger shadows in that 3rd panel especially, as Rain is so close to the ground, with perhaps greater detail to the grass to show that? And maybe some motion lines(?) in that second panel to show each characters movements more? Some motion lines in that little 5th panel might help too, as I assume she's about to follow that other deer and then suddenly jerks around from seeing the clovers.
For the first panel, something about it seems...empty a tad? May I suggest adding in some sound effects, like of birds singing/tweeting seeing as they're in a forest?
Aaand lastly, (this is probably just a personal aesthetic) but the text in that 4th panel from the other deer looks like it could be moved down in the actual bubble a bit.
Overall, a nice page, some good detail in places (I personally do love how you can make distant characters look nice and clear, I think it suits nicely for this kind of comic.) and I like that the backgrounds a lineless, makes me sort of think of an animated movie. (Which is why I try to imagine if this were animated, what would be happened with regards to sounds and the like, and what moments to 'screencap' to best tell a story.)
