A Shaggy and Velma moment from Episode 3. I think I'll do a little collection of these moments for the rest of the series as well. I might even throw in some lone shots of Shaggy, Velma, and the rest of the gang while I'm at it.Scooby-Doo belongs to Cartoon Network and Hannah-Barbara. I am just a humble fan basking in the moment of a childhood dream coming true.

Subtlety is a virtue. I personally prefer the original series over the new. Everything is far too obvious and the characters have lost their intrigue. Fred, especially. I do not recall him having an obsession for traps, but merely a need to catch the criminal.

Those seductive expressions are quickly becoming something of a trademark for the "new" Velma. And they are irresistible

It's subtle in the old series, but the new cartoon made it canon...So it's new to this year.

Never enough to make one think it was a thing, but during split ups, there was an entire decade where if Shaggy wasn't alone with Scooby, he was with Velma. He jumped into Velma's arms quite freely. It was little things. Plus, in the live action movie they made with the gang as teens, Shaggy was also portrayed to have a slight crush on Velma.
Scooby Doo was never really a show to be something you'd expect a romance with, but the gang usually split up into predictable patterns and it's easier to point out the oddities of when it didn't happen then to try to list all the examples. Especially seven years after my original comment.
