Description This started as a simple scene in DAZ Studion out of boredom, but when I started to struggle with the lights and to get the right lighting, I decided to do it in 3ds Max and it resulted in an immensely large project that took several weeks to complete.

I might upload a DAZ render of this for comparison, but the truth is, I never finished the DAZ render as it seems to have the need to render several days for a small-ish resolution, where as this took 9 hours at 3840x2160. Anyway, as soon as I've mustered up the courage to sacrifice my PC for a few days in the name of education, I'll upload the DAZ equivalent.

The top is slightly see-through. I hope it doesn't offend anyone. If it does, let me know, and I'll tag mature content.

Download for 1920x1080 view.

To keep things a little modest

There'll be some renders the way you like them, I just want to keep a little modesty in my portfolio as well

What about rendering in Reality in DAZ?
You make me want to give 3ds Max a try.

I've never used Reality in DAZ before, but I've seen some renders done with Reality that looks really awesome.
One day when I actually render this in DAZ and post it, you'll also see the differences you're able to make in 3ds Max that probably won't be as simple with DAZ, for instance; her top, the way it naturally hangs down from her left side and the wrinkles and creases in the duvet of the bed where she's sitting. I would never have been able to do those with DAZ.

If you really do want to try 3ds Max, I would suggest getting the EAT3D - 3ds Max 101 DVD. It's about 1.7GB and really helps a lot with the basic interface and usage of 3ds Max. That alone probably helped me more than anything else I read.
