I was gonna go for a drive tonight and play with my cam, but my mom wouldn't let me. Something about getting mugged or robbed. I ask her, mom, how are they gonna rob or mug me if i'm in my car? She says, go to your room.So I go to my room. And I'm looking around my room for something of which to take photos, and it hits me that I don't really have much, except books and papers. So I get my spikes from my car and throw them on a pair of jeans and mess around.
canon eos 300d. f5.6. 3.2secs. nothing done in gimp but border.
I promise no more photos with the spikes. And thanks to *dragonorion for the title suggestion.

this is really smooth.
i like the progressive blurring on the spikes, and the detail of the brushing on the sharply focussed one.
the fabric texture juxtaposes really well with the metal as well.
i like this composition.

I like the way that mainly the middle part of the picture comes into focus, and the rest of it is relatively more blurred. It creates a neat effect.

this shot is what inspired me to look at your gallery in the first place. first, the contrast in the textures really catch my eye. the faux-leather and metal of the bracelet against the blue jeans, really interesting contrast. and they look beautiful together. i also like the idea of creating a portrait of an object, rather than a person. to me when i see photos like this i see alot of energy in the object itself and my mind puts into into different scenarios not represented in the photograph, as if it's telling me a story. but that's probably just a mental disease, so anyways, nice picture!

polished metal on a rough material. its quite industrial but at the same time abstract with all the darkness surrounding the spikes. I like the contrast of the bright reflection on the spikes to the dark material. great shot!
