I dragged Nate (~alkire - he has some shots of things like this in his gallery too now) back up to this spot yesterday to get some shots.It's the clark bridge which connects alton, illinois, to some part of missouri. We were on the missouri side, drove and parked under the bridge, got out and got some shots. It was cool, when all the cars went over it. Kinda sounded like something was exploding.

Great shot here. Ive been trying some night time photos myself, but its not really turning out for me... I love the reflection of the lights against the water... It really looks like concrete... which I am diggin at the moment.

ooooh. great motion in the reflections on the water. the colors are absolutely beatiful as well. the balance of this one is completely left heavy, but for some reason it doesnt look wrong at all to me. GREAT long exposure shot!

What great perspective! It really emphasizes the concept of one point perspective. The reflective glow in the water really helps bring a feeling of peace to the picture. Also the picture reminds me of rain for some reason. Probably all the lights.

As many of this style of photo I see, there always something to it that really appeals to me. I'm talking, mostly, about the long-exposure lighting on the water. Just the way that it seems to glow and glide across it just looks so awesome, reminds me of some earlier photos of `adam1975 taken on the banks of the water.
Must've been really calm water, because the exposure didn't create too much odd lighting along the top of it, except for a few little bumps and ripples along it (but actually seems to add a nice effect) The contrast of the rest of the scene is really awesome, too. The way that everything around the lights doesn't seem that highly exposed, so the black of the night is still enveloping the area. I think taking it on a slightly different angle might've been a little bit better, though. Would've caught the shape of the bridge a little better, maybe even caught the light of some car's streaking across. Also would've stopped that shadowing under the bridge from overpowering some of the light reflection.

Again, beautiful colors! I love how much of the night sky you have in this shot, and then just BAM a bunch of colors on the bridge and ground. The reflection of the lights is once again so pretty and shiney. Like I've said before (sorry I always repeat myself) shots like these look so magical to me. All the bright lights againt the dark sky...the way it's set up almost looks unreal.

Wow, that's a beautiful shot, the reflections in the moving river creates such a neat effect, like it has become a different surface altogether.
The little blue lights in the reflection gives this such a fairytale feel
I think it just maybe me though but I can't help but want to tilt my head to the right when I look at this. Just thought I mentioed that
