MOAR PURLseriously though never enough pearl.
I have no idea why i like her so much. Literally none.
Either way i wasnt satisfied with that last pick so i spent a bit more time actually working out shit like color and composition.
Not much more time but enough that i felt better about it.
The original idea had been "what if bird mom here was going to go on a date?" and then it all spiraled out of control. I started drawing less and less of her till it became a bust shot that included some snazzy earings shaped like her spear twirly thing.
I feel like i am in teh midst of an addiction and the only way to work it out is to...well yea. Work on it.
More bird mom? Maybe another gem? hell maybe that beautiful horror named stevonnie.

This be Pearl From Steven Universe. She has a vast and ridiculously strong plethora of powers including semi limitless item storage and creation, super strength, and shape shifting. Most drawings you will see of her will have her be pretty thin since that is the way she is in the show but the truth is that she could look however she wanted to.
As for the show Steven Universe Id like to say it is easily the best show to come out of cartoon network in a long time.
At the surface it is pretty light hearted but it does well on communicating complicated themes and fantastic emotional moments with relationships that dont feel as if they are forced on us out of nowhere. There is even significant background information within the shows that if you are careful and observant can tell you more about the show then you might think.
I would reccomend watching the first season twice.
The first time many of the early episodes will seem pretty boring, but something you see in later episodes often changes how you understand the characters, meaning the early episodes contain lots of seemingly innocent or pointless things that suddenly take on a lot of meaning when you watch them the second time.

Hmmm, might have to check that show out, been such a looong time since I've watched anything on Cartoon Network, since the mid to late 90s. That was after Warner Bros. purchased the entire Hanna-Barbera library and archives in 1991.

Yea i honestly didnt think it would be as good as it is. I had very low hopes for it based on teh commercials it was a nice surprise.
