more headcanons about Sombra, i can't help it
1. i imagine that during Sombra's reformation, he was kept inside for the most part. this was not only for his benefit, but for the public's. its easy to forget that the Crystal Empire was completely taken out of the world while he was imprisoned. it was frozen in time, unable to progress like an ordinary society would. so while the rest of Equestria lost and gained citizens through generations, the population of the Crystal Empire consists of the same citizens it did thousands of years ago. to them, they're fresh out of Sombra's hooves. so many ponies are still terrified of him, wary at the very least. through public education, many have recovered and gotten over their fear of him. however, his face alone can cause PTSD attacks for many of them. so after his ascension, when he was allowed to wander around the Empire and get used to it again, he often wore a veil to hide his face. of course, ponies still knew who he was, but at the very least they would be cautious instead of avoidant. most days he wore a full hijab-type head covering to hide himself. sometimes he'd wear an entire cloak over his body. the Empire maintains a constantly colder temperature, so it helped defend him from the cold, as well. foals found him to be akin to something of a very early Nightmare Night display.
2. Sombra is not only a god of love, like his sister, but of winter. he doesn't emit heat like a normal pony (at least, not as much heat as an ordinary pony would), and his head his surrounded by a constantly rotating halo of snowflakes that never melt. however, little Flurry doesn't get it, which leads to a lot of questions about whether or not he has very very bad dandruff.
3. Sunburst is blind
4. Sombra is LORGE, especially compared to smol boyfriend Sunburst.
(tried to draw some kind of crystalline rose, because I'd imagine that Sombra has an entire garden of them that he grew himself. ended up more like an iridescent rave rose thingy. i still like it, but its wayyyy too much work. i think i used 20 layers to draw the petals alone XD)
