More, old sketches.Well, this is my version of Discord's parents and those of Celestia and Luna.
Im working on their stories and how the whole war between their species and kingdoms happened.
Discord's parents
Kalika

Black Mother as some called her was a poweful, mysterious and complex draconequus, with a soft voice but intimidating presence, but beloved by her, warm, wise and beautiful nature.Β She was the mother of the draconequus and empress of Universal Energy aka Chaos. Despite the bad reputation of her species and the prejudices, Kalika showed a great heart and sympathy over the weakests creatures. There isn't anything in this world she wouldn't do for those she loved, even if it meant using her powers for selfish purposes, but selfish was so far away from what she actually was.
Forseti

He was one of the very few alicorn ascended at that time, and was crowned as the prince of justice, peace and truth. Many would expect him to be a rigorous and strict stallion, but instead Forseti is known to be an eccentric, fun and bubbly fellow. But in spite of his unusual and sometimes childlike personality he possesses a great intelligence and wisdom. He was the royal judge of the alicorn kingdom. Along with that odd personality and his love for jokes and laughter, Forseti possessed fiery, cunning but morale nature. He was not afraid to fight for what was right and shout the truth, no matter that everything was against him.

Crowned King of the Sun, Ra was stubborn, headstrong and many times ruthless. Coming from a dynasty of pure alicorn, he obsessed with the purity of the bloodlines, and because of this, Ra considers the possibility of a hybrid as an "abomination" and takes extreme measures to prevent a creature from ever being able to exist. He is also hungry for power and can be manipulative, without hesitating to modify the truth for his own benefit. He sees any race that is not a unicorn or alicorn lower.
Selene

Queen of the Moon, gracile and serene as the night itself. Unlike her husband, she governed with love and compassion. A fun-loving mare, she usually liked to pass outside the castle with her subjects and join their celebrations. Although Selene was a kind soul, she was capable of acts of immense courage and violence when was necessary. But she was to be very innocent before the bad intentions of others, she simply did not see the darkess in anyone, and unfortunately not RaΒ΄s.

When I was looking at this, I expected to see two Draconequus's. But I didn't and I was shocked to see that he's...half alicorn xD.

Although if i am specific only Kalika is her biological mother ... let me see how I can explain it to you.
Despite Kalika and Forceti had frequent physical relationships, Kalika never became pregnant because she was able to decide if she wanted to have a child or not, and how. But there came a point when Forceti told her that she wanted a baby of both of them, and she took his magical essence and fuse with hers and so Discord was conceived, and he inherited some of her powers and abilities as her only heir, but no doubt his personality is similar to Forceti's XD.
In theory Forceti is his dad but not for genes but for magic. So in summary Discord is a draconequus pure.
Also the name of Black Mother is a title, Kalika is only the biological Mother of Discord, all others draconequus were created from the energies of their correspodientes elements and Kalika raised them as their children and she taughts them how to control their magic.Β

How exited would Forseti be about his grandchildren and how pissed would Ra be if he found out his daughter had them with Discord?

Forseti would cry of joy to see her grandchildren, he would fill them with kisses and hugs. He would also thank Celestia for loving her son and giving her these beautiful gifts. And he would tell Discord how proud he is of him.
But Ra, oh boy! His hair would be on fire and he would scream at his daughter how could she have those things with that monster. That how she dared to challenge and dishonor his race and title. Besides Ra would judge her for having a daughter out of wedlock, but he would tell her why at least she did not keep the other stallion that it was more worthy of her. I think it is not necessary to say that he would not be welcome in the palace.

Yes, Odin is the living portrait of his grandfather. Well he and his siblings,Isis and Zeus look kinda like Kalika and Ra too.

If I were in Discord's position, I would just drop a magically enchanted anvil on him followed by a piano, tank, blue whale and then pluto after transporting him into another dimension.

I'm quite curious as to how both couples met, and whether or not Ra and Forseti know each other. Also what was their relationship like with their royal kids?

Well in the case of Selene and Ra they were childhood friends and they were a couple since their adolescence. Even though their marriage was arranged, they did care because they loved each other very much.
But in the case of Kalika and Forceti was an unexpected encounter, One day a young still not alicorn Forseti walked through the woods outside the kingdom and found a baby draconequus about to be kill by villagers. After saving the baby and curing they the took them home and on the way in a beautiful lake, there she was. The most beauteous, wonderful and magnificent creature he has ever seen in his life.
Forseti was paralyzed and then she approached him "Thank you, my young an brave little pony, your good heart must be rewarded, if there is something I can give you just tell me" And there everything began.
When Forceti was promoted, and transferred to the castle there he met Ra and Selene. At first it was difficult but he could be Ra's friend, with Selene it was not a problem she was always friendly. The problems started when Ra and Selena were crowned king and queen, instead of following the path to be a good ruler, the heart of Ra was becoming cruel and cold, Forceti had many discussions with him because of the unfair way he treated the other species and her subjects not unicorns. And to make matters worse Ra was feeling envious of Forseti, since his subjects were beginning to love this artificial alicorn more than him. Selene did not want to see what her husband was becoming until the day of the great tragedy.
I do not want to do a spoiler, but what I can say is that the sisters loved their mother very much but Celestia hates her father and Luna distrusts him. In the case of Discord he doesnt have many memories (because was very little) but remembers his parents with love, and his sweet adoptive mother Selene has a special place in her heart.
