We have a lot of Karate studios, or Ti Kwan Do, or anything and everything BUT kendo. And all of those studios go out of business and become gyms that go out of business, and so on and so forth. At least where I live.

Mainly at high school level, but they'd never have kendo in schools in my area. It's too "dangerous" and "promotes violence". At the college level, I wouldn't know. I spent my days as a commuter, and I know there were anime clubs, but none that LARPed (to my knowledge).

Yeah. Men (helmet) can get very tight depending on person who wears it. You are used quickly to bars, much like you get used to (not)seeing the edges of your glasses.
