Description
A "holy grail" of sorts for me. I have never seen the movie, nor am I a wholehearted horror flick fan.
I only hear about them... and see stills from them....
What was that?!
..... Anyway...
I needed to research "Silent Hill" (the movie) a bit before I was sure I could render this one.... Mostly the movie I researched, not so much the video game series, from which developed the 2006 film adaptation.
According to :
Silent Hill is considered a "survival horror" game.
For me it was an anxiety attack inducer.
Thus I never got very far in any of the games.
And yes, I don't fair well at horror movies either.
Nevertheless I have a sort of perverse respect for the game.
Here's TDI's Courtney and Duncan, who have somehow stumbled into Silent Hill.
I'll let you decide if they get out or not.
Well, movie or not, I hope I've well rendered my coloured version thereof. Like I said, a "holy grail" it was....

Actually, Chef appears dressed as Pyramid Head in the eliminations. But the real Pyramid Head actually appeared once (I recreated the hospital roof scene). Oopsie... But, y'know... Maybe that episode where Duncan tells Gwen, Heather and Owen why he ended up in the juvie may have something to do with... deaths? Who knows? Or Mal has done something that bad... Actually, I'm not paying too much attention to the monsters symbolism, which is something that I really should start researching better.
Maybe when (if) I post my fanfiction in english, I'll make some changes. My main audience is formed by preteens, and I guess not all of them have such a knowledge about Silent Hill.

Oh yeah, Silent Hill is CAKED in symbolism. Pretty much everything you see is tied to and says something about the protagonist; unless it's Silent Hill: Homecoming, where the symbolism is only there to say "LOOK HOW MUCH LIKE THE MOVIE THIS IS!" (Even though the movie is about the Mason family, who are about the closest to recurring heroes in the series) Duncan in particular would probably end up in an Otherworld similar to Murphy Pendleton's in Silent Hill: Downpour; the design of the Otherworld in that game was one of it's best parts, rather than just blood and dirt and chain like the stereotypical Otherworld, it was this cool industrial-prison-water-impossible spaces thing, which, while just as on-the-nose as anything in an American Silent Hill game, is at least something different.

I made a scene for Mike in Silent Hill Origins style. On the 3rd floor of the Brookhaven hospital, in the storeroom, there is that big mirror. When he saw that, his reflexion was Mal, and they changed sides, and Mal started to act in the normal world.
I guess I'll make some challenge like the Phobia Factor, and put each contestant inside his own otherworld to fight something there. I guess it'd be cool, don't you think?
The contestents in the moment are:
Duncan, Heather, Courntey, Gwen, Harold, Alejandro, Sam, Dawn (Who I think will see no otherworld because of her purity), Scott, Jo, Brick and Mike (who was voted off as Mal, but is still waiting for someone to take him off the mirror

....duncan could last 20 years there, as for courtney she dont stand a chance. Being that duncan is a psychopath/ convict in juvie/jail he has the higher chance of survival there, just like with silent hill downpour he has the strength and skills of surviving.
