Well, I've been practicing for more than 14 years now (drawing wasn't really a "passion" when I was a kid, it was more just a hobby, so I wasn't taking it seriously, just had fun),

so that would be kind of depressing if I wasn't able to draw from mind yet xD

I mean, using references has never been something I did, that's one of the reasons why I'm not as good as I want to be,

I actually have to force myself to use them for angles/muscles, details and such today because it's actually so good for practice,

but since I spent my whole life not using reference, well... I just do without it because that's how I always worked x)

I've seen people make and sell those before, i think it would be good for you if you wanted to try it :0c
