Special Containment Procedures: SCP-51893 is kept in a large two roomed cell with a bathroom complete with a shower, main room is furnished with a table, a couch, a bed and a television for entertainment. All objects in the room are all colored white including its sheets and blankets. Both rooms are brightly lit with special lighting that are located at the edges of the rooms both floor and ceiling, the mid and centers of the room to minimize as much shadow and darkness as possible. SCP-51893 is to wear white clothing at all times including undergarments while not being utilized, while in the facility he is permitted to roam the general areas of the (Redacted) Facility under armed supervision and to eat in the canteen with facility staff he is also allowed to when request is approved by the Site (Redacted) Director to walk among the public at the nearby city of (redacted) under the same supervision as in the facility with his movements tracked via an implant. In the event of a power outage secondary generators will activate immediately to maintain the cells lighting.

Description: SCP-51893 is a Caucasian male about mid to late 20s with short dark brown hair, green eyes and a light facial hair with an athletic build and speaks with a New Zealander accent. On his back is a dark red symbol similar to the Aries zodiac sign that he has no recollection of ever receiving, additionally he has no memory of his parents or where he was raised. SCP-51893 appears to be a normal human about 190 cm (6 ft 3 in) tall and weighs 90 kg (198 lbs). His anomalous properties, his ability to manipulate darkness and shadows as he demonstrated when he approached the Foundation. SCP-51893 took one of the agents shadow and formed it into a tangible ball then returned it to him reforming back under him after this he voluntarily turned himself over to the Foundation, for reasons unknown even to himself he’s unable to manipulate his own shadow. SCP-51893 somehow draws power from dark colored objects and shadows he is not permitted to wear any colored clothing but white when not being utilized in the elimination of other out of control SCPs, out in the general public he’s allowed to wear regular civilian ware and black only during missions.

When drawing upon shadows SCP-51893 can form them into razor sharp shards that he can launch at opponents or tendrils that impale and rip anything to shreds, the darker the surrounding environment the stronger he becomes and the more light present the weaker he is, his ability to manipulate and shape shadows and darkness seems only limited to his imagination. SCP-51893 has eliminated very dangerous SCPs that have broken free of their containment and where else the situation would call for the sites destruction he was sent in alone to deal with the breach. He has prevented over 34 containment breaches from reaching critical status and avoiding the necessity to destroy. One such containment breach he was dispatched to resolve was another escape attempt by SCP-076-2 who nearly escaped but the attempt was thwarted by SCP-51893. The fight was brutal and SCP-51893 had a few close calls but prevailed and defeated SCP-076-2, as many times before he was put down his body putrefied and rematerialized back inside of SCP-076-1 and the breach was contained.

Addendum 01: When asked why he came willingly he responded, “I want to know more about me, know more about what this is and why I have it, I feel you guys can give me that chance.”

Addendum 02: SCP-51893 has trained and served with the MTF Alpha-9.

Addendum 03: SCP-51893 has also worked closely with MTF Epsilon-11 in neutralizing hostile SCPs that have broken containment.

Addendum 04: SCP-51893 has had some apparent prior history with SCP-347 before she was acquired by the Foundation. When questioned on the subject he acknowledged that for a time he and SCP-347 were in a brief relationship but was vague in the details on how involved they were. Judging from his slight vulgar sarcasm it’s feasible that the relationship was heavily casual.

Trivia:
Agent Umbra was given a experimental combat suit to wear when he’s needed and used to combat other SCPs. This suit was a prototype to another version of the suit that utilizes cloaking tech that was designed for the foundations more elite task forces. His suit has no cloaking tech as he can blend flawlessly into darkness and shadows.

Compared to other SCPs working for the foundation, Agent Umbra has a large amount of freedom and privileges then most other humanoid SCPs. Much trust has been given to him then most in the foundation would be comfortable with even allowing him to go on extended excursions when circumstance permits on the outside with out being actively tracked and with reduced supervision.
