Description
Final project for my Masters degree, a book with no ink.It contains 6 trees, 3 from the UK and three from NZ. Each tree is made up of 6 pages.
There is little text in the book apart from a small amount of information on each tree, the text has been burnt into the paper using the laser cutter. The same way the pages where cut.
The front and back cover where made out of wood, with title burnt into the front.

Yeah i did think it was a little odd that it wasn't this one that was DD instead. But i'm not going to argue, just pleased that I had one. x

Thanks. Sadly at the moment i'm having trouble finding a publisher who will take it on. I think that because its made entirely on a laser cutter its putting people off. Right now i'm looking in to how much it would cost to do produce a limited run myself, or finding a way to redesign it so that at could be printed (which i don't really want).
I'm willing to make them to order, but its not cheep

I'm sure it does, the design part is always the hardest & sometimes requires testing before you get it to how you envisioned it.

exactly, made even harder by the fact i had a limited time on the laser cutter, so could only do one test cut for each tree. I got to play around with the designs once before the final product was made.

This is so beautiful, I'm not sure if I should put it in my art or literature fav galleries.

hummm, well there is very very little text in it (less then 40 words in the whole book) so i would say Art over Literature

I thought long about it and figured it would get lost in my art folder so I put it in my lit collection. It stands out there for sure.
