For the event. Wish I'd have time to... you know, do many pokemon, but with school here, it's going to probably be me alternating between my arranged couples so I can give people gift art. I'm still trying to dick around with lights and effects; I'm using this group to push myself, mostly, so... that's why the stuff might look odd. Please bare with me XD they say practice makes perfect, soooo...
Anyhow. This is my Rose , along with Ping (Piranha2021 's), both of whom decided that since... bugs are attracted to light, why not use Rose's tail light (and a lantern) to lure themselves a new friend? It looks like their plan worked! They've not just attracted fireflies!
Levels! Both gain 5 lvls (Full body 2lvl + Shading 2lvl + Back 1 lvl) (I counted it as a simple background because you can see almost nothing, and I used a brush for the clouds anyhow so....)
Cryptology gets the bonus 2 levels!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh I seriously wish I had time for these events! x,D Too many art projects for class takes away from precious PKMNation time I'll probably try to jump into the next one whenever it's announced since (at the moment) I have a bit of extra time...
I really like the lighting going on in this though! :,D It feels really warm and peaceful rather than really bright and luminous, which being electric pokemon you'd think they'd naturally go for. So it shows how laid back they (and especially Ping) are compared to more hyperactive electric types.
Your interpretation if Ping for his first time is really really cute too~ ;v; If you have the chance sometime I'd LOVE to still RP with these guys to see how they'd interact and get some ideas of what I can try and do later~

Oh man, yeah, tell me about it. I've only just started and I'm already feeling the pressure to finish projects I know are just around the bend XD I only do pkmnation when I know I have a smidgen of free time. Thankfully, this year... classes are during the afternoon, allowing me to remain a permanent night owl, where/when my creative juices flow more readily, even if it means seeing a smidgen less of my family >>a
I'm glad you like the piece and the lighting! I wasn't very sure I'd actually managed to convey what I wanted, but given your comment, I guess the peace and stuff does shiny through, so hurray for that!!
I wasn't sure how to draw the poor guy XD Minuns seem to have no fur but I can't imagine pikachu like things without any fur so I gave him some, idddddkkkkk. sob.
And yes! I am very much up for this! I will see about typing something up asap, or if you wanna try a starter, you can!

I can understand that too with the electric rodents xD A lot of pokemon are actually confusing like that where they're mentioned to have fur but the actual art never depicts it. Guess maybe it's just really short
I think I imagine Ping without fur from his Chingling side. Like maybe he's the same silky material as his big ribbon-like ears are, so he's more Banette-like in a way >XDDD
And if you don't mind RPing through notes I can try sending a starter a little later today! :D
