Time for one of those panel things I did for my personal stuff during inktober. Since people seem to like them I do some for the different Star Trek franchises. It's a lot less work than those portraits
. And one fine day when I'm old and grey I probably get to colour them 
.Captain Jonathan Archer, Subcommander T'Pol, Commander Charles Tucker and Lieutenant Malcolm Reed from the series ENTERPRISE

Thanks for the nice words! To be honest, I'm glad, when somebody who doesn't like the motive of a drawing, still likes the drawing. This way I can be sure that the style is okay and the comment is not just some fan-service!

I always thought Trip was hot and Reed's not bad either.
Well, I'm not much of an expert on art. I'm usually relying on dollmakers, which works against me when making my Star Trek OCs. So anyone who can draw has earned respect in my book.

Alle vier sind toll geworden, auch wenn Tucker schon alleine wegen seinem "Hey Ladieeeees"-Blick ganz besonders hervorsticht
Zusätzlichen Applaus gibt es für Archers Hand die ich auch meisterhaft finde
Hast du "nur" die Vier gemacht, oder gibt es auch eine entsprechende Bildserie mit Hoshi, Phlox und Mayweather?

Tja, das ist dann wohl die Macht der Gewohnheit. Aber... es ist ja auch immer schön, wenn man eine gewisse Symmetrie und Verlässlichkeit in seinen Sachen hat. Deshalb kann ich das absolut nachvollziehen, dass du gedanklich immer automatisch bei den vier-panel-Bildchen warst. Damit klappt es aber auch; Neben Sato, Mayweather und Phlox einfach noch jemanden aus der zweiten Reihe in den Maincast befördern - beispielsweise Porthos, Forrest, Soval oder Shran - und schon hättest du wieder vier Bilder voll.

Als achter Charakter wäre wohl Shran am logischsten, aber tendieren würde ich natürlich am ehesten zu Porthos

Jerome K. Moore... war das ein Bild wo die TNG-Crew in Mittelalter-Outfits abgebildet war? Wenn ja, dann weiß ich welches du meinst. Der hat unglaublich tolle Cover gemacht. Ich habe auch versucht mir ein bisschen was von ihm abzugucken. Mit mäßigem Erfolg
Manny Coto hat mehrmals verlauten lassen, dass er, hätte es eine fünfte Staffel gegeben, Shran zum Teil des Maincasts gemacht hätte. Ich belasse es mal bei der Information, bevor ich wieder anfange zu jammern, dass man Enterprise abgesetzt hat -.- Jedenfalls wäre Shran deshalb auch gut geeignet um ihn in die Viererkette mit aufzunehmen. Porthos würde ich aber ebenfalls bevorzugen (oder der Porthos aus dem Spiegeluniversum *hust*

Ja, sie hatten darauf Tarn-Outfits an (Crusher und Troi mit Stirnschmuck). Seine Cover fand ich auch immer sowas von genial - vor allem im Vergleich zu den späteren DS9-Covern, wo dann der Verlag gewechselt hat und alles nur noch nach 0815 Kram aussah. Ich habe dann durch Zufall vor einiger Zeit gesehen, dass Moore hier auf deviant art ebenfalls einen account hat und mit Begeisterung durch seine alten Sachen gestöbert. Von ihm kann man vor allem auch von der Komposition viel lernen.
Oh hör auf ... ich finde es auch immer wieder so deprimierend, dass ENT nicht den vollen Lauf bekommen hat - Das erste Mal, dass ich das Haupttrio ohne Einschränkungen mochte!

Was ich an Moores Arbeiten so grenzgenial finde ist die Art und Weise wie er, ja, inked? Hier beispielsweise dieser Gasriese im Himmel - da weiß ich nicht mal wie er das macht. s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/5…
Überhaupt scheint er mit aberzillionen kleinen Pünktchen und Strichelchen zu arbeiten. Ganz große Klasse!

Ja, ganz genau! Dieses Bild finde ich ohnehin total klasse, auch wie die beiden Frauen da den Hügel hinauf auf den Betrachter zu kommen.
Ich habe das mit den Pünktchen versucht nachzuahmen. Erst durch ... nun ... äh ... Pünktchen, das sah Sch* aus, ... dann mit einem Airbrush-Pinsel, das sah ... nun siehe vorne ... dann mit einem Rauschfilter - und dann hab ich das gesamte Bild gelöscht

Nicely done. The problem with ENT was seasons 1 and 2 weren't that good, Season 3 was OK, but once the writers got good in Season 4, it was cancelled.

But that was the problem with TNG or VOY as well. With VOY it took me 6 times to start with season 1 and I couldn't get into it at all (in the end I started with season 4, so at least I now know the last 4 seasons of the show), and when I rewatched TNG I was horrified at how bad the first episodes were (especially the acting), whereas when I rewatched ENT I instantly liked the characters and got into the show. I guess it just was the wrong time for the show when it originally aired. Back then I didn't give it a chance (well ... after DS9 nothing had a chance with me ...

adfdsgffdfg Reed and Tucker look so cute! As do T'pol and Archer but I'm a little biased.
It's so hard to find a good serious picture of Reed for some reason but you somehow managed to do that and capture him with a small amount of linework. That's a pretty great achievement. Wonderful group of characters!

The only issues I have are with T'Pol. She looks a bit on the vulgar side with those lips of hers - and so my drawings of her always tend to be non-flattering

Yup, Enterprise certainly is the least liked series of the franchise. I draw those linearts for an advent calender at a German ST-fan forum. And I asked the users which characters I should draw (always 4 from one series/Kelvin-line). In the beginning I got tons of suggestions for TNG, and none for Enterprise. So Archer and T'Pol I drew for me and for the other two I got requests as I uploaded Archer.

Oh I had no idea ^^ In fact, besides TOS, I only watched DS9 because you strongly suggested to me (which I'm very thankful for, it's so awesome).
