I looked it up. Β If it did exist, it was probably an unusually dangerous and big wolf.

Yeah could have been a wolf suffering from Gigantism, it may have also been rabid as well, which may explain the gruesomeness of some of its attacks. Sometimes I think the BOG may have been an Andrewsarchus.
