Flashback, 5,000 years ago. Janus is the Green Ranger in Aurelius' team. They are in a desperate battle against the Diabominus.

Aurelius: So what is the plan from here, Janus?
Janus: What do you think is the most obvious attack?
Aurelius: Rushing head on?
Janus: Normally, this is the unwise method. You learn well, Aurelius.  Although this enemy is bigger than normal.
Aurelius: The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Janus: Rangers, spread out and analyze the Diabominus. It must have a weakpoint. Do not engage until I give the command.

  Janus and Aurelius morph into the Green Ranger and Gold Ranger, followed by their teammates.  They spot Diablominus its roaring its head off and it stomps off. The team splits into pairs. Janus and Aurelius pair up.

Janus: You remember our old roundup technique?
Aurelius: Like old times. Think we can beat it up there?
Janus: It's worth a shot. The other Rangers are in position and ready to strike. The Silver Ranger found a potential weak spot.
Aurelius: Alright, let's stop this monster.

  They go in, targeting the weak spot.  Janus signals the other Rangers, and they all move in with their Zords to fight the monster.  They begin to put up a fight, with Janus leading the charge. She gets the full force of Doabominus' attacks.  The attack destroys the Green Parasaurolophus Zord, forcing her to eject. The beast begins plucking off the other Rangers and their Zords one by one. Soon, only Aurelius remains.  After the failed battle, Aurelius returns to Aluris' temple, carrying Janus' dead body.

Aluris: What happened?

  Aurelius says nothing. His fist then clenches, and his face changes from sorrow to anger.

Aurelius: She held us back...

  He grabs Janus' pendant from his necklace and throws it aside.

Nyuwii: Aurelius, wait...
Aurelius: From now on, I work alone!

  Aurelius leaves the temple without another word. Aluris watches him leave with concern and sorrow, picking up the pendant.

5,000 years later.  A beautiful forest has grown from where the Diabominus was slain by the new Power Rangers.

Auburn: To think this is where Diablominus was.
Daisy: And this was all last week.
Cyan: I know, crazy.
Evelyn: Let's get going. We gotta study for that big test coming up.
Ebony: The sooner, the better.

  After they leave, one of the large flowers on a giant tree begins to open up.

Auburn: Huh?
Daisy: Auburn, let's go!

  He leaves to join the others. The flower continues to open up, revealing a beautiful Hindu woman inside, curled up and asleep, wearing green clothing.  She wakes up after a bit.  The woman yawns and stretches, emerging from the flower. She hears the distance voice of Aluris calling to her and follows. Her walk takes her to the shrine.  She enters from the front door.  Aluris and Nyuwii see her arrive.

Aluris: Welcome back. I had foreseen your return and have been expecting you.
Jannette: Who... who am I?

  Aluris and Nyuwii look at each other, concerned.

Nyuwii: She has no memory.
Aluris: I should have known. This can happen with reincarnation sometimes. Contact the Rangers.
Nyuwii: Wait... Evelyn left some of her stuff here.

  He flies away. After a minute, he returns and drops the pendant into Jannette's hands.  She picks it up, just looking at the pendant.  Soon, a memory comes to her; her old life with Aurelius.

Jannette: Aurelius.
Nyuwii: Well, it's something.
Aluris: Listen. You will be called Jannette for now. The power source of the Green Ranger is hidden somewhere, and it is calling to you. It will link you to your old Zord. Can you find it, Jannette?

  Jannette thinks hard, hearing the call of the Postosaurolophus Zord.

Aluris: Once you've found it, find the other five Rangers. They are at a local high school. And be on the lookout. Zorgonus and his forces are still at large.
Jannette: School?
Nyuwii: This might be a little harder than I thought. I wish I'd go, but you know.
Aluris: Go.
Nyuwii: What?
Aluris: Nyuwii, follow her, but keep out of sight.
Nyuwii: Alright alright, no need to remind me. Besides, I learned a new trick in this world.

  He uses a charm that gives him a human form.

Nyuwii: And with that, I'm off.

  Nuywii accompanies Jannette in her search. For about half the day, they search. Eventually, Jannette notices a green glow. They follow it.  They find a green diamond buried with a Postosaurolophus skeleton.  She notices a spade shaped sword with it.  When she picks it up, it changes form. It's the very same weapon that Evelyn had used from Janus prior.  Jannette takes the gem, which opens the tunnel, and the Postosaurolophus Zord calls sound off.  It went back to sleep after the Diabominus' destruction. Jannette then instinctively morphs into the Green Ranger. She walks deep into the tunnel.  The Green Postosaurolophus wakes up and sees Jannette. She may not remember it, but it remembers her.  It gets up. Although she's startled, she keeps calm.  It allows her to touch it and link with her. They hear a sound outside.

Nyuwii: You might want to get in.

  Another one of Zorgonus' monsters suddenly breaks in, resembling a demonic horse with a skull head and flaming hair. Jannette enters the Zord to battle the beast.  It controls fire, while she controls plants. Despite being at a disadvantage, she keeps fighting.  However, the demon horse bucks the Zord, knocking it to the ground.  The Zord's crest begins to glow, and it lets out a deafening trumpeting call.  The trumpeting call is heard throughout the area, getting the Rangers' attention.  As soon as the beast is disoriented, the Zord uses Jannette's power to create a thick plant cocoon, which slowly envelops the horse monster until its flames die down. The Green Ranger departs with her Zord. As soon as she has gone, the other five Rangers arrive, seeing what had happened.

Evelyn: What happened here?
Cyan: I don't know, but this is where the Green Postosaurolophus Zord went to sleep after we killed Diabominus.
Auburn: Then who's piloting it?
Nyuwii: I might have the answer!
Daisy: Nyuwii? Is that you?
Nyuwii: Yes, I have a human disguise.
Ebony: How is the Zord functioning? It doesn't even has a pilot.
Nyuwii: It does now. Be on the lookout. More Rangers will be appearing, and soon.
